Memorial Park’s infrastructure and our only school — the Tybee Island Maritime Academy (TIMA) — both face critical deadlines. Facilities need urgent upgrades, and TIMA must secure a permanent home before its 2028 lease expires. Rising demand, growing family enrollment, YMCA’s space constraints, and the need to preserve green space and improve stormwater management make this the ideal moment to consider a single, purpose-built hub to meet our community’s multi-generational needs..

Mission

Tybee Together’s mission is to create and sustain a vibrant, multigenerational community hub at Memorial Park, anchored by the YMCA, that safeguards TIMA’s home on Tybee, preserves and expands the park’s green space, celebrates island heritage, and unites residents of all ages through shared services, recreation, learning, and connection.
